Zusammenfassung
The basic postulates of quantum mechanics have provided a great range of „gedankenexperiments“ over the past 70 years. One of these has been the use of entangled states for secret communication (cryptography) and highly parallel computation. Over the past two years, several experimental techniques have demonstrated that this is indeed possible. This talk will briefly review different experimental approaches to quantum computation and focus on the bulk NMR spectroscopy in room temperature liquids work being done at Stanford University.
